Team evad3rs Released evasi0n 1.5 To Jailbreak iOS 6.1.2 Untethered On All iDevices Except for AT3!

Recently Apple released iOS 6.1.2 to fix minor bug.  Later, team evad3rs who is responsible for the untethered iOS 6.0 jailbreak released their evasi0n ver 1.4 for this jailbreak.  However 2 days later they released evasi0n 1.5 to fix device restarting/crashing during jailbreak.

Apart from evad3rs, another jailbreak tool for iOS 6.1.2 was released by iH8Snow under the name sn0wbreeze.  However, this jailbreak tool is only available for window users.  Comparing sn0wbreeze and evasi0n, the latter is much easier with one click and ported to Mac, Window and Linux while sn0wbreeze requires too many steps including manually going into DFU mode.

Bad news for ATV3 owner because there seems to be no exploit to jailbreak the Apple 1080p unit.  Airplay from jailbroken iDevices still works unless Apple did something to prevent this.

Before this, Santa was expected to deliver the exploits, yet the water snake couldn't help santa to deliver the ATV3 exploits,  so we guess it is still a long way to go for ATV3 jailbreak!

Santa Claus Delivering The Apple TV 3 Jailbreak Early?

The news is too good to be true.  We are going into December now and everyone is waiting to ditch their ATV2 to get the new ATV3.  Is this another scam to increase sale for ATV3 worldwide since Apple Store is giving a free delivery.

Well, I guess we will have to wait if the appletvjailbreak.com is the real thing right now.  Below is the announcement on their website 6 hours ago.

Countdown To Apple TV 3 Jailbreak Software Announced

According to Apple TV 3 Jailbreak News Channel the countdown to Apple TV 3 jailbreak has begun as the team of developers working on the software are said to release the much-awaited program at the end of the week. Unlike other Apple TV 3 jailbreaks released so far, the new hacking software will work wonders on the beta version of the digital media receiver.

Analysts are constantly skimming forums and websites in search for news related to the launching of the first ATV 3 jailbreak. The prospects were gloomy at first because developers announced that the third generation of digital media receiver cannot be breached. A few weeks later, customers’ hearts began to throb again as analysts announced that Apple TV 3’s software can nevertheless be hacked.

Apple TV 3 owners that are anxiously waiting for the release of Apple TV 3 Jailbreak software should be patient and always check for news and updates at Apple Tv 3 Jailbreak News Channel official website.

Last week, the United States of Technology announced that the new Seas0nPass will be released somewhere around November 30 and it will give users the possibility to take full control of their devices. Even though Apple TV 3 has not been significantly improved from the second generation, there are still many benefits one can obtain after jailbreaking the new gadget.

Instead of the A4 chip that was used on the previous models, the latest digital media receiver features an A5 chip. The latter offers increased power, improved graphics and was purposefully designed to save battery. In addition, there are many other characteristics that have been added to the latest generation of chips, such as, face detection program, white balance and automatic image stabilization thanks to the inclusion of an image signal processor unit.

Apple TV 3 also features 512 MB and is capable of streaming 1080p videos. This features provide many more reasons to be glad that the team of developers is performing the final tests for the new hacking software. They have all reassured us that everyone will be able to download the Apple TV 3 jailbreak within the first days of December.

At the moment, user is adviced to avoid flagged website!?!? Before using any software with java based platform please take extra time to read the user reviews and seek advice from experts!

Warning as another Mac Trojan virus discovered
by: Staff Writers

Trojan virus spreads to computers via emails

It is more powerful than its previous versions

Mac owners told to install latest security update

THERE'S more bad news for Mac users.

An online security company has found another virus that has been infecting the Apple computers via a Java plug-in, spreading across computers when people open email messages with links directing them to malware.

The virus is the second to be discovered in a week, after news earlier that more than 650,000 Mac computers had been infected with a Trojan virus known as "Flashback".

The chief security expert of anti-virus software provider Kaspersky Lab, Alex Gostev, said the latest virus is called "SabPub" - an abbreviation of its formal name, "Backdoor.OSX.SapPub" and has the potential to infect more computers than Flashback.

“SabPub is classic backdoor Trojan, so it opens full access to a victim’s system for attackers," Mr Gostev told Mashable.

"Flashback and its known variants is a downloader and clickjacking bot, which means it conducts click fraud scams by hijacking people’s search engine results inside their web browsers.”

This incarnation of SabPub is also more powerful than its previous versions.
“In February, SabPub was exploiting a Microsoft Word vulnerability, which was fixed a long time ago,” Mr Gostev said.

“The latest version of SabPub uses the Java exploit to spread infection in a more effective way because the Java exploit is delivered via a drive by download, which occurs when people click on URLs with malware via email.”

The security expert also said the attackers appeared to attack specific targets and had a select list of victims that was not very large.

Mr Gostev said Mac users could no longer delude themselves that they were safe from viruses. Before 2012, experts had detected 300 kinds of Mac malware. This year, more than 70 viruses had been detected during the past three months.
“We recommend users update their systems immediately with the latest security update from Apple,” Mr Gostev said.

APPLE UNVEILS THE NEW iPAD 3RD GEN??!!

The direction for iPad 3 or iPad HD released is too drastic.  In the end they could only change the specs and upgrade the processor from A5 to A5X while maintaining full Retina display.  Also add in or maintained the Siri function (can't be bothered with) and add a 4G LTE connectivity!!!??   Hey  wait is this iPad 4G?!!!  Nope just still the old name iPad!!!?

They pull up the price tag higher by $100plus depending on the size and connectivity added and the rumour about having 168GB is just another rumour!!!??  No more calling it iPad 3 or iPad HD but instead they are just branding it like the other Honda Civic or Toyota Vios!!??  Imagine if this is the 8th iPad Generation?!!!  It won't be called iPad8 but instead just another iPad build 2015 or something!!!??
Credits to source

Instead of having more portability function, like USB port or HDMI port yet you still need to JB to enable this function or simply streaming by using cloud technology!!??  Apple still wants the stream via wireless connectivity and yes no poking into their iDevice except for charging purposes!!???
Credits to MIC and gottabemobile
New terminology included like iSight for the rear camera for full 1080p video recording, while front camera is called FT or Facetime!!??

Since iPad is not the major event maybe Apple TV got the limelight?!!!  Well, it is yet another frustrating day!!??  iPad or Asus PadFone?!!!  To those wanting to be keeping up with the trend, they will sell their iPad2 and grab this 3rd Generation!!???  The closest release date in SEA will be 16th March in Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia!!??  Maybe Malaysia have to wait like any other countries!!!??

Spec summary
  • Retina display
  • A5X Processor
  • 5MP iSight and VGA FaceTime Camera
  • 1080p Video recording
  • Dictation via Siri?
  • 4G LTE Connectivity
  • 0.40"  ( 0.03 " thicker than iPad2)
  • Just iPAD

iPhone 4S in a faster mean machine with iOS5.  Apart from A5 faster performance, it is packed with talking Siri assistant which could talk back to the user!!??  Researches are being conducted to integrate Siri with wireless integration which enables the user to combine mechanical actuator and surrounding sensors.  Opening doors will be another added feature for every 4S owner in the near future.

Would you like a Siri???

iPhone 4 Vs Samsung Galaxy S2

The technical website below tried to compare between S2 and iphone4 which is totally two different things!!  But what I can say iphone4 gesture and touch interactivity is way much better on S2.  Even the S2 owner says Galaxy S2 still lacks of function.  It is like having a Ferrari but kept in the backyard only?!! Is it good for decoration!??  Now that poor chap is looking for anyone who is interested in buying his S2?!!

In term of battery usage, iphone4 performed way better than S2.  This is benchmarking ipad2 with the Galaxy Tab as well!!??

Well some website is just trying to get free review units especially from Samsung since iphone is available everywhere in the states!!  I hope they give an honest review instead of wanting to get free gadgets only/!!!

iPhone 4 versus Galaxy S 2 (Video)

The Samsung Galaxy S 2 and the iPhone 4 are two of the best smartphones ever released. But which is better? In this video, we do a comparison between these two devices. In terms of pricing, the iPhone 4, here in the US (certainly this price varies around the world) can be had for either $199 or $299 for the 16GB or 32GB models respectively, while the Galaxy S 2 is over $700 for the unlocked version.

Beyond that, the build quality on both devices is quite high, but we give higher marks to the iPhone thanks to its use of metal and glass. The Galaxy S 2's screen is glass, and the rest of the casing is plastic. Despite this, the Galaxy S 2 feels rigid, high-quality, and easy to hold in the hand.
Both have very different displays. The iPhone 4's 3.5" display is 960x640 resolution, providing 326 pixels per inch. The Galaxy S 2's 4.3" display is 800x480 resolution, providing 217 pixels per inch. The lower pixel density on the Galaxy S 2 is made up for with the extreme level of contrast that the Super AMOLED Plus display affords.

In terms of imaging, the iPhone 4 takes fantastic 5MP pictures and crystal clear 720p videos, but the Galaxy S 2 ups the ante with 8MP pictures and full 1080p video capture. Both have front-facing cameras, with the Galaxy S 2 taking photos at 2MP, and the iPhone maxing out at just VGA resolution.

Jumping into software, it's easy to see that Android has far greater versatility than iOS at this point, but the latter is due for an upgrade later this year that might bring vast changes to the OS. In terms of web browser performance, the Galaxy S 2 is far superior to the iPhone, probably thanks to the brawny dual-core Exynos 1.2GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM.

Motorola Xoom Launched in February!

The Motorola Xoom has super-fast dual-core processor running on Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). It contained powerful Google developed software specifically designed for tablet market. It has front 2MP and rear facing 5 MP camera, a camcoder with Adobe Flash Player mounted on an 10.1 inches widescreen HD display.

Motorola Xoom is the first tablet running with Honeycomb.  Way much better than Samsung Tablet with Android Froyo.  Google has tweaked the interface giving tab browsing capability, comparable with a small monitor PC with flash enabled.  It is equipped with mini USB and HDMI-port along with Wifi and 3G connectivity.  I bet what would the iPad boss feels when this ultra sensation hits town right after Valentine.  It will be Xoom fever all over.  Maybe BlackBerry Playbook can cure this sickness?

iOS 4.2.1 Final Version Jailbroken Using Updated Redsn0w 0.9.6b4

The iPhone Dev Team has just released Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 today which brings first proper jailbreak, with working Cydia and MobileSubstrate for all iOS 4.2.1 devices.

For those of you who don’t know, Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 is based on Geohot’s Limera1n bootrom exploit which has already pwned all current iOS devices for life. The only problem is that it is a tethered jailbreak, which means you will have to boot it into a “jailbroken state” on every reboot. This so called tethered or semi-tethered jailbreak condition in Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 however only applies to the new devices like: iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPhone 4, iPad, iPod touch 2G (MC Model), iPod touch 3G and the iPod touch 4G.

Old devices like iPhone 3GS (old bootrom), iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (Non-MC Model) can be jailbroken-untethered right now using this latest version of Redsn0w. So until and unless Comex of Spirit and JailbreakMe fame comes up with another untethered hack for iOS 4.2.1, the jailbreak we get for the newer devices will be tethered (or semi-tethered).
Redsn0w 0.9.6b4
NOTE: Those of you who rely on a carrier unlock MUST STAY AWAY from Redsn0w and iOS 4.2.1.
Follow the step by step instructions posted below to jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 with Redsn0w 0.9.6b4:
Step 1: Download iOS 4.2.1 for your version of iOS device.
Step 2: Update/Restore to iOS 4.2.1 firmware using the IPSW file you just downloaded via iTunes 10.1.
Step 3: Start Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 and point it to iOS 4.2.1 firmware to proceed with the jailbreak.

Redsn0w 0.9.6b4
Step 4: Now select “Install Cydia” and click “Next”. Optionally (if available), you can also select any other option you like.
Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 (1)
Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 (2)
Step 5: Now make sure your device is both OFF and PLUGGED IN to the computer before you click “Next”.
Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1
At this stage you will be presented with a screen where you will have to quickly hold “Power” button and then while holding the “Power” button, you will now have to hold “Home” button too. Now after few seconds release “Power” button but keep holding “Home” button until installation begins.

Step 6: Sit back and enjoy while redsn0w will do all the rest for you. Once done, your iPhone or iPod touch will restart automatically and you will find it jailbroken on the latest iOS 4.2.1 firmware.
For iPhone 4, 3GS (New Bootrom), iPod touch 4G / 3G / 2G, iPad ONLY:
Step 7:
Now from here onwards, whenever you want to do anything related to jailbreak like SSHing into your device, or running Cydia, you must first run your device in the so called “jailbroken state” on every reboot by using “Just boot tethered right now” option in Redsn0w.
Redsn0w (1)
Download iOS 4.2.1 for iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPad, iPod touch
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 for Windows
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b4 for Mac
Download iTunes 10.1 for Windows or Mac

Enter Samsung Galaxy Tabs World

Buy today’s tablet, or avoid sorrows and buy tomorrow’s?

By Alex Zaharov-Reutt
Thursday, 11 November 2010 00:15

As Samsung’s Galaxy Tab launched yesterday in India, Samsung was launching a 7-inch AMOLED screen and a 10.1-inch prototype tablet at the Flat Panel Displays (FPD) 2010 expo in Japan, giving users a glimpse into Galaxy Tab versions circa 2011!

The old perennial question of when to buy rears its ugly head when it comes to the topic of tablets.

From a gazillion articles talking up iPad competitors, the only a very few have proven noteworthy in this early stage of the tablet game, especially with Apple already having sold over 7m of its “magical and revolutionary” iPads, with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab one of that handful of standouts.

Although Samsung has come to take as many bites of the tablet cherry as it can, as early as it can, Samsung has more customers to please than just the CEO, unlike Apple.

Samsung also showcases its future technologies at trade shows, thus giving us a pretty good guesstiglimpse into the likely future.

Yes, I just guesstimated up a new word there, but hey, it’s all in a day’s work.

Anyway. Samsung’s first tablet effort, the Galaxy Tab, is a polished competitor, exhibiting some of the flair and finesse Apple applies to its products while coming in a much smaller form factor.

Already 7-inch apps have arrived for the device, with more promised to come, but now some are wondering how soon it will be before an AMOLED equipped 7-inch Galaxy Tab successor appears on the marketplace, whether it will cost any more, how Samsung’s 10-inch Galaxy Tab might perform and what it might look like.

The thing is, we knew they were coming as Samsung had already said so, and we all know now that a product’s successor is already being planned once the first version hits store shelves.

The question is how much a particular item can help to improve your life now, and where you are in the cycle of expected product updates, so you aren’t feeling like a chump having bought “the latest” model only to have it totally superseded by the brand-new, expensive and naturally must-have new model only two months later.

In theory, Australians won’t be able to buy any new iPad until anytime between March and July next year. Any new Samsung Tab is unlikely to come out any earlier, and might come out even later, although a lot likely depends on how quickly Google gets Android 2.3 and 3.0 out the door.

After all, Galaxy Tabs only launched into the global marketplace over the last couple of weeks, but if you thought mobile phone evolution was hot, tablet evolution is getting set to run even hotter.

If you can see that a tablet will improve your life in a meaningful way above and beyond a netbook, notebook or MacBook Air, then by all means investigate them, and if one appeals and it’s in your budget, then buy one, whichever model it is you have chosen.

Alternatively, satisfying your need for mobility may be better served with a netbook, notebook or MacBook Air, or waiting for a better tablet tomorrow.

But if you choose to wait for tomorrow, or go with watch closely and choose wisely from new the technologies on offer as unveiled, to best avoid buyer’s remorse and any sorrow!

White iPhone 4 Being Cancelled. Possible release for iPhone 5

Oh, white iPhone 4! How long we have waited for you! From a consumer standpoint, all you needed was white paintjob but after the incessant delay, upon delay upon delay we’ve really just started to lose hope.
White iPhone 4Apple CEO Steve Jobs poses with the white iPhone 4 during the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco, California June 7, 2010.
It was just yesterday when we reported that Apple is delaying the White iPhone 4 to Spring 2011. This came after the July-delay and serves as yet another blow to our fantasies of owning a white version of the popular iPhone 4.
Real Reason: Light Leaks
Cult of Mac reports that the realactual 100% fo-sho’ reason behind the delay was not thediscolored buttons but actually because of “light leaks”. Explanation below:
When the white iPhone 4 takes a photograph, the semi-translucent glass cases leaks extra light into the camera which absolutely ruins photographs. Cult of Mac’s source said, “You don’t get accurate pictures on the white iPhone because of the color of the glass back. It washes out the pictures”. The source also said that Apple might have to do a complete redesign of the white iPhone 4 to deal with the light leaks.
The issue was discovered after a “last minute test” at a secret facility when the white iPhone 4 was used with a third-party case. Apple, of course, wouldn’t let an imperfect phone out (Antennagate is a separate topic, though).
White iPhone 4 Cancelled?
Besides this, BGR has received information that Apple is cancelling the release of the white iPhone 4 all-together. BGR’s source says that there will be another delay in March which would cause the release of the illusive white colored iOS device to interfere with the release ofiPhone 5 (or iPhone 4S, whatever). Which would mean that the white iPhone 4 might get replaced with a white iPhone 5.

Adobe AIR SDK 2.5 Launches for BlackBerry PlayBook, Android and iOS

Adobe Air Logo Adobe AIR SDK 2.5 Launches for BlackBerry PlayBook, Android and iOS
When RIM announced their first tablet a few weeks ago, the BlackBerry PlayBook, Flash support was one of the big selling points. To that end, today at the Adobe MAX conference Adobe has launched a set of AIR development tools that work with the tablet’s new operating system, Neutrino by QNX. BlackBerry wasn’t the only platform getting some love, though; now that Apple is cool with third-party SDKs, iOS is included in this Adobe AIR update (though Flash is still presumably blocked), along with the usual Android support AIR has been talking about since February.
For those unfamiliar with Adobe AIR, it’s a development environment that encompasses not only Flash, but Adobe’s Flex, HTML and Ajax. AIR basically lets you create standalone applications using web languages without having to use a browser (something BlackBerry WebWorks still does).
It’s worth reminding that eventually the QNX operating system on the PlayBook will eventually find its way to BlackBerry smartphones, so even if Flash doesn’t make it to handsets before then, at least the new OS will be built from the ground-up with Flash in mind. The PlayBook promises to be a multimedia powerhouse, packing a 7″ 1024 x 600 capacitive touchscreen, and run on dual 1 GHz processors and 1 GB of RAM. Adobe’s SDK will support other tablets as well, so it’s really just a matter of manufacturers including the runtime on their tablets at launch in order to keep the playing field even.
Google seems to have a leg-up over RIM when it comes getting friendly with Adobe, having tested the AIR SDK in a private beta with Android developers for some time, but the Apple has definitely made their bed with Flash. That’s too bad for iPhone and iPad users, but many seem to be comfortable sticking with HTML5 for web development.
You can see some of the highlights in Adobe AIR 2.5 over here, or download the SDK here. If you’re particularly interested in developing for the PlayBook, hit up their getting started guide here.

Jailbreak iOS 4.1 iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPad with GreenPois0n [How to Guide]

By Taimur Asad | October 12th, 2010

Chronic Dev Team has finally released GreenPois0n to the world. You can use it to jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G / 3G and iPad. Support for iPod touch 2G and Apple TV will be added soon.

The following instructions will help you jailbreak iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS using GreenPois0n.

NOTE: If you rely on an unlock, do not update to iOS 4.1 yet as doing so will upgrade your baseband, making it impossible for now to unlock.
